The Summary note category is where you write an overview of the case to provide a quick way of reviewing the status or important information. It can contain any information you want to include, and be as long or as short as you want.

The most recent Summary note will always be displayed on the bottom-left of the Case Page to keep highly relevant information visible to all those involved in the case, and to prompt you of recent events and situations.

These Last Summary Notes are a practice tool where the worker writes up a summary of the case every 1 – 3 months (depending on the services ‘best practice’ protocol). These serve as a means of formulating that case work and also a quick summary should another case worker (most likely a Supervisor or Manager) need a quick briefing on the case (in an emergency or as part of supervision).

A Summary note can be viewed by any Case worker assigned to the case, any of their Supervisors and the Clinical Manager.

When you have saved the note it can be edited for 24 hours. After this period the note will be locked and uneditable.

To edit a note, select it on the CaseStream, click the View/Edit option on the information block, make your changes and Save.

To access the note at another time, simply click on the CaseStream note icon (yellow) on the Case Page and it will load in the CaseStream panel where you can read it and export it to PDF.
