This is a guide to using some of the basic features of Rataora.
Getting invited
Before you can log in to Rataora, you will need to be invited by an existing user. When you are invited you will receive an email with a link in it that takes you to a page to set up your user account (password).
Logging in
Access Rataora from the log in page at https://go.rataora.com using your email address and password you previously set. (Forgot password?)
A successful log in drops you on the Dashboard where you can see an overview of your working week.
Create a case
Select the ‘New Referral’ button on the left menu of the Dashboard, or from the Case menu select ‘New Case’.
Complete the Referral form and hit ‘Finish’. (Leave fields blank that don’t have details for).
Rataora automatically creates the case for you. (See A Case for a walk through of the case page).
Make an appointment
Appointments are made from either of two places:
- The Case page - click the ‘Add’ button then select ‘Session’
- The Calendar – select ‘New Appointment’
Complete the details as appropriate. (See How do I add an appointment? for more).
Add a task
From the Case page click the cog icon (⚙️) next to the Management Plan and Action Steps heading
Select 'Add'
Write an appropriate description for the task e.g. phone parents for family meeting
Add a due date
Assign the task to the appropriate clinician
Leave completed unchecked
Hit ‘Save’
This new task will show on the Case page. It will also show on the Tasks page for the clinician it was assigned to and on their Dashboard if it is due during this working week.
Add case notes
From the Case page select ‘Add’, then ‘Note’. Complete the details and click ‘Save’.

Edit client details
You can access your contact/client’s details in two ways:
- From the Contacts page:
- select your contact
- click 'Edit' in the top left menu
- make the changes/additions
- 'Save'
- From the Case page
- hover your mouse pointer over the Contact's name
- select 'Go to Contacts page'
- click 'Edit' in the top left menu
- make the changes/additions
- 'Save'

Complete a session
To mark a session as attended or unattended:
- access the session from the CaseStream
- click on the info block
- click the appropriate option: Attended/Unattended
